At the University Clinic of Dentistry Vienna, all fields of dentistry are united under one roof. So you will get all the treatment you need in one location.
After an initial examination, we will conduct an extensive counselling interview to ascertain which treatment is right for you. The level of experience of our specialists notwithstanding: there is no routine for us, we will establish an individual treatment concept for each case.
We have specialised dentists from every field of dentistry. In this way we are able to coordinate even complex therapies and your treatment can start quickly – so that you will enjoy smiling again.
Due to their research activities, the dentists at the University Clinic of Dentistry Vienna are always up to date. You will not find any obsolete methods, just proven therapy concepts according to the current international standards.

Power of Attorney
For various reasons, there are times when you may not be able to take your child to the dentist in person. In order to enable another person to accompany your child to the University Dental Clinic in Vienna, a legal letter of authorization must be provided for that person.
In case of need, please complete the form completely. Furthermore, please notify which matters can be dealt with by the other person. The person accompanying your child must be of legal age und must bring an official photo ID (e.g. passport, identify card or driving license) to every appointment.
If you have any further questions about having other people accompany your child to the treatment appointment, please contact the respective department of the University Dental Clinic Vienna.
The First Treatment
The first contact point for care and treatment is the Emergency Clinic with Trauma Care. This is where the initial assessment takes place. Then you will be assigned to the clinical divisions and special clinics appropriate to your case.
Dental Counselling as a First Step
The first part of counselling consists of an extensive assessment of the general, dental and periodontal anamnesis. In this counselling interview you can directly inform your treating dentist of your medical concerns.
Thorough Treatment Plan with Options
Together with your treating dentist you will establish a treatment plan. If there are several options, different models will be established.
The Cost of Your Treatment
The University Clinic of Dentistry Vienna has agreements with every health insurance in Austria.
Through our health insurance agreements we can settle the insurance portion directly with the corresponding insurer. However, insurance does not cover everything. Should you require such additional services, then your treating dentist will provide you with a cost itemisation. This treatment cost estimate lists all services to be provided. Your treatment cost estimate is aligned with the planned therapy options.
Please bear in mind that in the course of treatment the medical necessities and prices may change. Therefore, the cost estimate should be regarded as non-binding.
If your services contain patient portions and insurer portions or if they are exclusively private, then Central Registration will issue an invoice. All services rendered are itemised on this invoice. Payment takes place at the Central Registration desk.
Treatment: Please Keep Your Appointments!
If you cannot keep an appointment, please inform the corresponding clinical division or special clinic and arrange a new one.
If is important for the success of the treatment that the schedule be adhered to. Cancelations should be the exception.
Appointments Missed without Excuse are Expensive
Should you be unavailable for a specific appointment, then make sure to cancel it. This benefits all the University Clinic of Dentistry’s patients. Every hour that a treatment unit remains unused due to a last-minute cancelation lengthens the waiting period for other patients. So we ask for your understanding that we have to bill you for a portion of the costs should you miss an appointment with us unexcused.
Of course, we understand if you have to cancel an appointment for medical or other important reasons. We would kindly ask you to cancel on time – if possible two days before the appointment – at the appropriate coordinating office.
